The rooms were spacious and clean, with a full kitchen. They had a great view near the lake and at night we were able to clearly see some stars and the Milky Way.

We booked an overnight stay here in the sunset suite. When we drove up, our hearts sunk. All you can see driving in is a three sided box with no windows. When we opened the door, we were thrilled to find a cozy space with a spectacular view of the water and the Keltic Lodge Inn. The suite was clean, although it did have a chemical smell from cleaning products which quickly disappeared when we opened the windows. The restaurant phone wasn't working, so my husband walked up a steep incline to ask about dinner. The dining space is quite rustic and small, but overlooks the water. He reported back and we decided to just order dinner in. He hiked back up the hill and placed our order and requested that it be delivered to our room. They willing obliged and it arrived shortly after. Unfortunately, everything was overcooked and a bit tasteless, but you can't beat the service. Very friendly staff and reception. Possibly a family run business.

Intimate little cottage! It was a beautiful stay, very clean and a perfect view of the ocean. Very spacious and had everything you might need. I would skip the restaurant but this review is about the stay and not the food!

Check-in was super easy, the views were incredible, and the cabin was just the cutest little getaway spot. The beds were so comfortable too — I slept great! Definitely a place I’d stay again.

What a beautiful place to stay along the East Side of Cabot Trail. I got one of the smaller cabins (cabin 3) as it was just myself. Could fit two people without any issues. Double bed was comfy. Shower was nice and hot. All amenities were clean and ready to use. The wooden style cabin gave quite the woodsy feel I was looking for. The on site restaurant was not opened during my stay, likely due to it being off season, but there are still places to eat within a 10 minute drive. What a gorgeous view from the private balcony as well, serene rolling mountains and the Atlantic water of Ingonish Bay. Thank you to the hosts for an amazing stay.

I was in NS/PEI for a 10 day visit and it was the best night sleep I had. What a wonderful well thought out place. A welcoming check in experience, a breathtaking view, an excellent and very clean room and a nice in house restaurant with delicious food. I WILL STAY THERE AGAIN next summer.

We got one of the cabins right down on the water. Had a living area with sofa and table and chairs for two, plus fridge, microwave and crockery, cutlery for two. There is also a beautiful balcony/deck where you can sit outside and enjoy the view and comes with its own BBQ in case you want to grill. Recommend stocking up on breakfast and drink items before you come to the area as grocery stores and eateries are limited. There is a small market/convenience store about a 5-10 minute drive which is helpful. It's good to have the microwave, coffee machine and electric kettle in the room, so you can DIY breakfast. They also provide some tea bags in addition to coffee. Although the place has a breakfast buffet option this doesn't start until 8am and is limited. Cost $15 per person. Much easier to stock up yourself! There are no restaurants or eateries in walking distance and even if there was no footpath along the Cabot trail. Note driving distance to skyline trail is about 1.5 hours (100km) but there are some really nice hikes closer on this side of the park, recommend Middle Head. Cabin can also be quite chilly but the heater works really well plus there is a ceiling fan to help push the heat down. Water pressure in shower and bathroom pretty average, but was hot. Room itself had been renovated, nicely fitted out and was clean. Although there are cabins next door, there is space between, it's quiet and private. Overall enjoyed the stay, plenty of space, beautiful outlook and great for enjoying some remote time in Cape Breton!

AMAZING property. We stayed in sunset J, directly on the water. This was the most relaxing, stunningly beautiful part of our stay in Nova Scotia. Would come back to this cabin in a heart beat.
